7-Day Funnel Launch Checklist
A tick-as-you-go plan to build and launch your first sales funnel in seven short days, even if you have never built one. Your progress is saved in this browser, so you can close the page and pick up where you left off.
- No sign-up needed
- 44 tasks, about 9 hours in total
- Progress saved in your browser
Your 7-day checklist
Day 1Choose your audience & offer~60 min0/6
Today’s goal. Get crystal clear on who your funnel is for and what it helps them achieve. A funnel for “everyone” converts no one.
You’re done when you can say your promise out loud in under 10 seconds, and a stranger instantly gets who it’s for.
Day 2Set up your tools & foundations~60 min0/6
Today’s goal. Get your workspace ready so building on Days 3 to 6 is fast and friction-free.
You’re done when you can log in, your sender details are set, and payments are connected (if you need them).
Day 3Create your lead magnet~90 min0/6
Today’s goal. Build a free gift so useful that people happily trade their email address for it.
You’re done when you have a finished PDF and a download link that works in a private browser window.
Day 4Build your opt-in page~90 min0/7
Today’s goal. Create the page that turns visitors into subscribers, plus a thank-you page that delivers the gift.
You’re done when you can submit the form yourself and land on the thank-you page with a working download.
Day 5Write your email follow-up sequence~90 min0/7
Today’s goal. Turn new subscribers into warm leads with a short, automated email sequence.
You’re done when a test sign-up receives Email 1 automatically within a few minutes.
Day 6Add your offer & test everything~90 min0/6
Today’s goal. Connect the money step, then make sure every link, email and payment works before a single visitor arrives.
You’re done when a stranger could go from first click to purchase without asking you a single question.
Day 7Launch & get your first traffic60 to 90 min0/6
Today’s goal. Put your funnel in front of real people and start collecting real data.
You’re done when your first real visitor (not you!) has opted in. Celebrate: you’ve launched.
You finished the 7-day checklist.
Your funnel is live. From here, the work is improving it with real numbers: see “Know your numbers” below, and model your results with the Funnel Revenue Calculator.

How to use this checklist
Do not read ahead and panic. Each day takes about 60 to 90 minutes and ends with something finished.
Every tick is saved in your browser and updates your progress. When a day is complete, the next one is offered.
Your first version will be improved with real data after launch. That is the plan, not a failure.
You will need a laptop, 60 to 90 minutes a day, and a Systeme.io account. Systeme.io puts pages, email, automations, courses and payments in one place, so you do not have to stitch several tools together. The free plan includes 3 funnels, 1 custom domain, 2,000 contacts and 1 automation rule (per its pricing page, checked October 12, 2026), which should be enough for a first funnel; check current limits before you rely on them. The steps also apply if you use another platform.
Know your numbers
A funnel is never finished: it gets better every week you look at the data. Track these four numbers and use the table to find what to fix first.
| Metric | What it tells you | Rough target | If it is low, work on… |
|---|---|---|---|
| Opt-in rate visitors who subscribe | Is your page and gift appealing? | 20 to 40% | Headline, gift title, mockup image, fewer form fields |
| Email open rate subscribers who open | Do they recognize and trust you? | 30% or more | Subject lines, sender name, domain authentication |
| Click rate openers who click | Do your emails create interest? | 2 to 5% | One link per email, a clearer call to action |
| Sales conversion subscribers who buy | Is the offer a good fit? | 1 to 3% | Gift-to-offer match, objections, proof, price |
These are rough rules of thumb, not promises. Results vary widely by niche, traffic source and price. Your most useful benchmark is your own numbers from last week. Model yours with the Funnel Revenue Calculator.
Your first 30 days
- Week 1: collect data. Do not touch anything for at least a few days.
- Week 2: test a new headline on your opt-in page.
- Week 3: improve your offer email (Email 4) and the sales page proof.
- Week 4: double down on the traffic source that brings the cheapest subscribers.

Questions about launching your first funnel
How long does the checklist take?
About 60 to 90 minutes a day, so roughly nine hours across the week. You can compress it into fewer days or stretch it out: the order matters more than the pace.
Is my progress saved?
Yes, in this browser on this device. If you clear your browser data or open the page on another device, you start from zero. The PDF version has tick boxes you can use anywhere, or you can print this page.
Do I need Systeme.io to use it?
The examples use Systeme.io, and Day 2 shows how to start a free account. The sequence itself (audience, gift, opt-in page, emails, offer, launch) applies to any funnel builder.
Can I do more than one day at a time?
Yes. Each day ends with a clear “you’re done when” test. If you pass it, move on. If you do not, stay on that day: later days build on the earlier ones.
What if I do not have a product to sell yet?
Day 1 and Day 6 allow an affiliate product you genuinely trust instead of your own. If you promote affiliate products, add a clear disclosure on your pages and in your emails.
What is a good opt-in rate?
The table above gives rough targets, but they vary widely by niche, traffic source and offer. Treat them as a starting point and compare against your own results over time.
